Craig Lane from Five Lamps Auto Centre was interviewed live on the Sally Pepper show on the 20th November and was asked for advice on the Good Garage Scheme's Winter Check.

He discussed the importance of having cars checked at this time of the year to ensure everyone is ready for the poor driving conditions and advised that some of the most important items to check are tyre tread depth, oil levels and anitifreeze in the windscreen washer.

Craig agreed that most motorists overlook having important checks done and that an annual service does not mean your car will be up the job for the whole year.

BBC reporter Nigel Cash spoke with Craig about winter tyres and had a Good Garage Scheme Winter Check carried out on his own car while he was at the garage recording the interview.
